Custom website design and development for businesses, professionals and stores. Mobile-first, SEO-ready, fast loading — built right the first time.
Most small business websites fail at the basics. They load slowly because they're hosted cheaply on an overcrowded server. They look broken on mobile because they were designed in 2014 when phones were a quarter of traffic. They have content that hasn't been updated in years, contact forms that go nowhere, and Google Analytics tracking codes belonging to whoever built it half a decade ago and disappeared.
Meanwhile, the businesses that thrive online have figured out something simple — your website is a 24/7 salesperson. It needs to load in under 2 seconds, look professional on every screen size, communicate value within 5 seconds of arrival, and make it dead easy for someone to buy, book or contact you. None of that requires Silicon Valley budgets — it requires someone who knows what they're doing and actually cares about the outcome.
JomeTech's web development team has built sites for retail stores, professional services firms, restaurants, schools, NGOs, agricultural businesses, manufacturers and creators. Every project starts with understanding what the site needs to do — sell products, generate leads, showcase work, inform visitors — and the design follows from there. We don't sell pretty templates. We build websites that move the needle for your business.
All our sites are built on solid foundations: clean WordPress installations with hand-coded themes (no bloated page builders), schema markup for SEO, optimised images, lazy loading, modern caching layers, and proper analytics. We host them on our own LiteSpeed infrastructure so they fly. And because we build, host and maintain the sites ourselves, you have one team to call when anything needs to change.
Fixed-price packages for the most common project types. Custom quotes available for anything beyond.
Some agencies charge extra for things that should be standard. We don't.
Over 70% of web traffic is mobile. We design for phones first, then scale up to tablets and desktops. Tested on iPhone, iPad, Android phones and tablets, and every modern browser.
Compressed images, lazy loading, minified CSS/JS, browser caching, CDN delivery, and proper image sizing for retina displays. We aim for 90+ Lighthouse scores on every site.
Proper title tags, meta descriptions, semantic HTML, schema.org markup, XML sitemap, robots.txt, OpenGraph cards for social sharing, and clean URL structures. The technical foundation Google needs.
HTTPS encryption installed and auto-renewed for the life of your hosting. Browser padlock, secure forms, and SEO ranking benefit included at no charge.
Edit content yourself anytime. We hand off a clean dashboard with documentation showing exactly how to update text, swap images, add blog posts and create new pages. No coding required.
Both tools configured during launch. You get visibility into who's visiting, what they read, where they drop off, what they search for to find you, and which pages are getting indexed in Google.
Forms wired to your email with spam protection (honeypot + reCAPTCHA), automatic email confirmations to senders, and CRM/Mailchimp integration available on request. No more lost enquiries.
Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, LinkedIn and TikTok links integrated. Optional Instagram feed embeds, Facebook Page Plugin, and OG/Twitter cards so links to your site display properly when shared.
Once your site goes live, we provide 30 days of free support to fix bugs, tweak copy, and answer questions. Beyond that, we offer affordable monthly maintenance plans.
Predictable, transparent, and designed to keep you involved without overwhelming you.
30-minute call (WhatsApp video, Google Meet or in-person) to understand your business, goals, audience, competitors and any examples of sites you like. We discuss site structure, content, and timeline.
We send you a written brief — page list, content needs, design direction, and a checklist of materials we need from you (logos, photos, business info, social accounts).
Mockup of the homepage and one inner page sent for approval. We refine based on your feedback before touching any code. Up to 2 design revisions included.
We code the full site, write/place all content, optimise images, and configure plugins. Daily progress on a staging URL you can preview anytime.
You review the staging site and send back any text changes, image swaps or layout tweaks. Up to 2 rounds of revisions before launch.
Site goes live on your domain. We submit to Google Search Console, set up Analytics, hand over admin credentials, and walk you through editing content.
We can help with both. Copywriting is available as an add-on at $30/page (custom-written based on a Q&A with you). For photography, we recommend stock photo sites for generic imagery; custom photo shoots can be arranged for an additional fee depending on location.
Absolutely. You own the domain, the WordPress install, the database, the content, and everything in your hosting account. We provide full admin access. If you ever decide to move hosts or hire a different developer, you have everything you need to leave with no friction.
Yes — that's the point of WordPress. Editing pages, adding blog posts, swapping images and changing menus all happen through a clean dashboard. We provide a written guide and a 20-minute video walkthrough during handoff. For more complex changes, we offer hourly support at $35/hour.
Optional. We offer maintenance plans starting at $25/month covering plugin updates, security monitoring, weekly backups (in addition to our automated daily ones), uptime monitoring, and 1 hour of content edits per month. Most clients find this far cheaper than handling it themselves or paying per change.
We build a fully-functional WooCommerce store including product pages, cart, checkout, shipping settings, tax configuration and payment gateway integration. The $999.99 includes setup of up to 50 products. Beyond 50 products, additional products are loaded at $2 each (or you load them yourself with our written guide).
Yes — redesigns are typically priced at 75% of a new build because the content already exists. Send us your current site URL and we'll give you a fixed quote within 24 hours.
Yes — for projects that need things WordPress can't handle (custom dashboards, complex calculations, unique workflows), we build with PHP/Laravel, Node.js, or React depending on the requirements. Custom development is quoted hourly with a fixed maximum cap.
50% upfront, 50% on launch. EcoCash, Visa/Mastercard, PayPal, ZimSwitch and bank transfer all accepted. For larger projects ($1500+) we can split into 3-4 milestone payments.
We pause your timeline (without charging extra) until you respond. Most projects finish on time because we make feedback rounds quick — the design mockup needs about 30 minutes of your attention, the staging review another hour. We don't want to disappear for two weeks and surprise you with the final result.
Yes — message us with what kind of project you have in mind and we'll send 3-5 relevant examples from our portfolio. We don't post everything publicly because some clients prefer confidentiality, but we have a substantial body of work in retail, hospitality, professional services and education.
Local payments, local support, and infrastructure tuned for African networks.
Most international hosting providers only accept Visa/Mastercard, which leaves out the majority of Zimbabwean small businesses who don't have access to USD-denominated cards. JomeTech accepts EcoCash, ZimSwitch debit cards, InnBucks, Paynow, plus Visa/Mastercard and PayPal for international clients. Pay from your mobile money wallet, your local bank card, or USD cash deposited at our Harare office — whichever is easiest for you.
Renewals work the same way. No surprise foreign currency conversion fees, no "we don't accept your card" rejections. We invoice in USD because hosting infrastructure is priced in USD globally — but you settle in whatever currency and method works for your business.
When you message us at 10am from Harare, you get a reply from someone awake and at a desk — not a "we'll get back to you in 18 hours" auto-responder from a US support team that's just gone to sleep. Our team is based at 163 Chinhoyi Street, Harare, working Central Africa Time, reachable on WhatsApp at +263 78 377 1089 for the kind of immediate questions that local hosts in Mauritius or South Africa take half a day to answer.
If something's urgent — a site is down, an invoice is wrong, a domain transfer is stuck — message our WhatsApp and you'll usually have a response within 15 minutes during business hours. We don't outsource support and we don't read scripts.
Hosting in the United States or Asia means every page request from your Zimbabwean visitors travels across multiple oceans before returning. We host in tier-3 European data centres with optimised routes through African internet exchanges — measurably faster for visitors in Zimbabwe, South Africa, Zambia, Kenya and Mozambique than US-based hosts. Combined with our LiteSpeed servers and built-in Cloudflare CDN, your site loads sharply for the people most likely to be looking for it.
Speed matters more on mobile networks, which is most internet usage in Zimbabwe. The faster your pages load on Econet, NetOne and TelOne data, the less likely visitors are to bounce before your content even appears.
We register and renew Zimbabwean ccTLDs (.co.zw, .org.zw, .ac.zw, .gov.zw for eligible institutions) alongside global TLDs like .com, .net, .africa and .co. We handle ZISPA registry paperwork, renewal reminders, and DNS configuration so you don't have to deal with the registry yourself. See our domain pricing page for current rates.
Having a .co.zw domain signals "we serve Zimbabwe" to both customers and search engines. Google's local search algorithm considers ccTLDs as a strong geo-targeting signal — a .co.zw site is automatically prioritised for searches from Zimbabwean users compared to a .com.
JomeTech is a registered Zimbabwean company with a physical office in central Harare. If something goes seriously wrong — and that's rare — you can come to our office at 163 Chinhoyi Street, sit across a desk from the actual person handling your account, and sort it out face-to-face. That's a level of accountability you simply don't get with hosts based half a world away who can disappear behind a faceless ticket queue when things go sideways.
We host websites for retail businesses, schools, churches, NGOs, professional services firms, restaurants and creators across Zimbabwe — from solo entrepreneurs running their first site to established companies with multi-site infrastructure. Same standards, same prices, same support level.
