Spam Management

To reduce spam and ensure your inbox remains clean, use SpamAssassin in cPanel.

How to Enable and Configure SpamAssassin:

  1. Log in to cPanel.
  2. Navigate to the Spam Filters section under the Email category.
  3. Enable SpamAssassin if it’s not already activated.
  4. Adjust the spam threshold score (lower scores filter more emails but may flag legitimate emails).
  5. (Optional) Enable Auto-Delete Spam to automatically remove high-scoring spam emails.
  6. Add specific email addresses or domains to the whitelist (to always allow) or blacklist (to always block).

Creating Custom Email Filters:

  1. Go to the Email Filters section in cPanel.
  2. Select the email account you want to configure.
  3. Click Create a New Filter and specify:
    • Conditions (e.g., "From contains spam@domain.com").
    • Actions (e.g., "Move to folder: Spam" or "Discard message").
  4. Save your changes.
